Be prepared for cold winter nights
Fresh Water System:
- Fill your freshwater holding tank.
- Disconnect your water hose, filters and regulator.
- Store them away in a warm compartment.
- Use your on-board water pump.
- If your RV has Tank Heaters turn them on at night.
- You can let your faucets drip (ensure your waste tanks are empty).
Waste Water System:
- Empty your holding tanks (Black & Gray).
- Close the gate valves.
- Drain any water from your septic hose.
- Before next dumping inspect for any freeze breaks in the hose.
- Open your Grey tank for just a min and close it, ensure you have no leaks. Then dump the Black followed by the remainder of the Grey. Repeat the steps above.
Electrical System:
- Be mindful when using space heaters.
- Don’t overload your electrical circuits.
- Keep them in a safe location as not to trip over them, or tip them over.
Other Items to Note:
- Keep your storage bay doors closed Day & Night.
- Open your lower cabinet doors to allow heat and air flow to the pipes.
- Don’t forget to check your roof vents/fan, ensure you have closed them after cooking dinner.
